For activity afternoon on Fridays, Mrs Kane has been working with some children in years 3, 4, and 5 to build areas of our school out of Lego!
Below, you can see pictures of:
We went into the school kitchen and had a look around. This was the photo we took - they have an office, pantry and school kitchen.
Some people in this school have been busy dancing in 3/4F's classroom. They have been dancing to an Ariana Grande song - 'Problem'.
They were having a lot of fun!
This is a picture of Mr Fisher. He said that being a headmaster wasn't easy but it was really fun. He sometimes had to speak to some people about bad behaviour . But most times he says well done to people. On a Friday morning he gives out star of the week. Sometimes he's busy with parent meetings.
This and last week we wrote some descriptions about mythical characters from ancient Greece.
For a warm up we wrote some facts about the creatures' physical appearances. Some of the creatures included: Minotaur, Phoenix and Hydra.
Some facts about the phoenix are:
claw as long as a car, a flying killing machine, it's tail as long as a snake and as slick as a whip, wings as fluffy as a kitten.
This is Jessie's art work from last week. Our focus in art is to show movement in a picture. We were told to draw the other side of someone and remember to shade and use movement marks. The other pictures we could use were: a man in a relay race; a girl star jumping or a street dancer pulling some moves!
This is Amaanya's fact file about the Greek Olympics. She found out lots of interesting information, and presented it very nicely.
In 34JN, we have been learning about Stone Age, and now we have moved on to Bronze Age. This board shows the different ages, from 3300BC up to 100BC. At the bottom, you can see some of the small patterns we have made out of clay and paint.
3/4 have been making pictures and talking about what we are very good at. We did this at the start of the school year.
For example Lola is good at skipping.
We put all fitted pieces together.
This work was done by 3/4F and we are very proud of it!
we are Mia ,livy and sam !!!!!
Please come to the library to see the new Halloween display . We think reading is great for children because it teaches you spellings , new words and it gives you a good imagination .
This person from Mrs Hables class of year ones this boy likes to read doctor who.
3/4TH wrote some things that they're good at and what they like doing. We did this on paper plates, which were turned into dinosaurs!
3/4TH have been learning about instructions this week.
Our teacher told us to write in our books, instructions about the Stone Age.
The beginning off Hollie's story based on Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Year 5/6 are learning about the ancient Greeks so they write some stories.
Parts of Hollie's work includes:
"I know my son, he wouldn't hurt a fly!" exclaimed Aphrodite, flipping her long, golden hair in Zeus's face and striding away in a strop.
Dragos's work is Hydra which is a mythical creature from ancient Greek stories following on from our topic this term.
During this week we all drew pictures of our own temples for a god of our choice. This is Mollys work her god was Athena.
We did different type of pillars for the different temples.
