Year 5/6 have enjoyed a fantastic visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester. We learnt about many areas of space exploration to support our science work in school, and found answers to a lot of intriguing questions such as 'How fast does the International Space Centre orbit the earth?' (17150 mph, or 5 miles every second!) Particular highlights of the visit, as voted for by the children, were: the Planetarium 'astronaut' show; driving the Mars rover and looking at possible causes of the big bang.
We would also like to thank our fantastic parent helpers, without whom the visit would not have been possible.
