Welcome back to Franky and Cianan's awesome posts!! Today (16/06/2017) year 3/4 are making and selling pizzas to parents. There are many flavours and shapes. We interviewed Mrs Whitfield to find out more: "I am really impressed because they look very professional. They smell VERY good and I am definitely buying one. The children were really hygienic and the pizzas look really different to each other. It will be difficult to choose one to buy."

UPDATED AFTER THIS FLIGHT.
Recently, we have had a new school menu; we now have a choice of 4 different meals. We have the option of: red (a hot meal), green (a vegetarian meal), brown (a jacket potato meal) or, blue (a sandwich meal). Depending on which meal you choose, you need to have the same colour tray, to make it easier for the chefs. If you have any allergies, you need to get a purple wrist band from the office and, a light brown tray (to make the chefs aware of what meals you can't have).
We have babies in Reception! 11 new fluffy chicks have hatched over the last 24 hours. We are so excited!
We had a special delivery in Reception yesterday! As part of our learning about animals, 11 eggs arrived in an incubator. We are watching carefully to see what happens over the next few days.. we are wondering what will be inside?
Yesterday, a group of 13 year 5/6's were able to umpire(score) a number of mini red tennis matches. Most of the people that went had only played tennis once or twice but some had never even stood on a court! Even though they all did very well at keeping score.
What they had to do was they had to say the score, who got the point and who was serving next (from right or left). At the end of each match they had to say who had won the match, what the final score was, and to tell the Head Coach what the score was so he knew who the finals and semi-finals were against.
There will be another opportunity for some more 5/6's to umpire next week and we hope they do just as well. To go along with that the rounder's competition was today and the athletics competition will be on Tuesday. Next week I will hopefully be able to tell you the results from them.
Reception had a fantastic time visiting Umberslade farm last week, to kick start our topic on animals. We fed lambs and calves and explored the cute and cuddly pets.
We're looking forward to receiving a delivery of very special eggs this week... we have been thinking about what
may be inside!
In year 56, we had a Victorian school day where we dressed up as Victorians, and did Victorian lessons, such as: Copy drawing, object lesson, arithmetic, handwriting and we even had an inspection. It was scary - dirty children got inspected particularly closely, and those with nail varnish were told they had 'infected' fingers!
