This week was a geography and arts week. 8 year 6 children were chosen to record interviews and ‘cut aways’; small videos or pictures of the children doing work to put in a final movie.
“I put my name down to do filming because I am interested Computing and Photography.” said a pupil who was selected to be in the group. To work methodically and efficiently the year 6s were split into pairs. In the first afternoon the 2 children working on year ½ had gathered 15-20 minutes of footage while the reception group had only gathered 4-6 minutes. Tuesday was full of laughs of some of the funny moments that had been ‘accidently’ been filmed the day before (these had to be edited out). And the other bits of the afternoon were spent editing out all the bits that were not needed. Wednesday and Thursday were spent getting some last minute ‘cut aways’ and interveiws before the ‘premier’ on Friday. You can see the final video by clicking on this link
