The winners of the Eco Ranger home learning competition were announced in assembly today. There are:
Jake - an amazing replica model of a pool table using take away cartons and cake decorating balls...
Georgina - a miniature Minions' house using a variety of materials including Kinder egg capsules, egg boxes and buttons...
Leila - a very impressive dress and scarf that she has sewn, made from pieces of material from old pyjamas and other out grown clothes!!
The winning children are pictured above with the Eco Rangers. All of the models nominated from classes are currently being displayed in the junior corridor next to Mr Heard's office - do pop in to see them.
This morning our Eco Rangers, staff and Governors spent time looking at the wonderful home learning that had been completed by children over half term on the theme of recycling and reusing. Children had created some very impressive models out of recycled and reused materials. Children in classes had all selected their favourite models and the Eco Rangers made the final selections to identify our three winners that will be announced in assembly on Friday. Well done to all the children for their efforts with this home learning.
On Wednesday children in all year groups had great fun in our 3rd Inter-House Pancake Races. Children took part in races in their classes as part of their house team. The children showed great flipping skills even with a frying pan with a broken handle! Overall results were 1st Emerald, 2nd Topaz, 3rd Ruby and 4th Sapphire. House points have been awarded according to the results.
