Applying to Milverton

Milverton Priority Catchment Area
In Warwickshire children start primary school the September after their fourth birthday. The law says all children must start school by the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday, although Warwickshire County Council encourages all children to start school in the September after their fourth birthday. The first year of school is called Reception.

If you would like your child to join our school in Reception, you will need to apply for a place for your child in the Autumn prior to your child starting school. Admission forms are available from the Admission Service (see contact details below). All forms must be completed and returned to the Admissions Service by mid January. All applications received by the set date are treated equally.

  1. Children in care of, or provided with accommodation by a local authority (under Section 22 of the Children Act 1989).
  2. Children living in the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission.
  3. Other children living in the priority area.
  4. Children from outside the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission.
  5. Children from outside the priority area.

The priority area for Milverton Primary School is defined as:

Area north of River Leam and east of but excluding Knightcote Drive, Guys Cliffs Road, Guys Cliffe Avenue and south of but excluding Beverley Road to Northumberland Road. Boundary line crosses from junction of Beverley Road and joins Kenilworth Road between Woodcote Road and Binswood Avenue just south of Woodcote Road (excluding College Drive and Onslow Croft). Eastern boundary is formed by and includes Kenilworth Road and The Parade as far as the River Leam.

Shared with Lillington Primary School and Telford Infant and Junior Schools: Kenilworth Road between Woodcote Road and Binswood Avenue.

For admission of children in years 1 to 6 please contact the school Admission Service directly on 01926 414143. Further information can be found at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/contactusschooladmissions

Our Intake

Milverton Primary School has a published admissions number (PAN) of 45.

This is set by the local authority.

In reception, these pupils will be split into two single age classes. In all other year groups, there are mixed age classes to accommodate this number.

Applications to the school should be made through the local authority admissions department who provide details or catchment areas, over-subscription criteria and school offers.
