The Friends of Milverton Primary School, aka‘the FOMPS,’ (formerly the PTA) is an active registered charity comprising both parents & staff. Parents automatically become a member of the FOMPS when joining the school. There are many ways of connecting with the FOMPS, and keeping updated with what is going on including: The FOMPS page in the school weekly newsletter, the FOMPS email distribution list, the termly FOMPS meetings, the FOMPS closed group page on facebook and posters around the school. The aim of the FOMPS is to organise regular social, educational & sporting events for both pupils & parents, we aim to provide fun for our children & increase the sense of school community, whilst also raising valuable funds for the school. The FOMPS have funded key projects in & around the school over many years which enhance the school environment, the overall facilities & also offer the little extras. With the current cuts to education budgets the fund-raising role of the FOMPS is even more critical. We have a busy calendar of events so please do get involved in our activities. We cannot run them without parents' help & support but together we can really make a difference to our children's school. No matter how little or large your involvement, from simply sharing your ideas, to giving up some of your time – it is all greatly appreciated and critical in keeping the FOMPS active. We ask that 2 sets of parents in each class undertake the role of being the class rep for a year.
The role asks that you help to communicate messages both from and to school regarding all things that are going on for your child's class. FOMPS Annual Calendar
