home learning
Home learning is sent out on a weekly basis for all children. All children have a home learning book. The weekly tasks will relate to the children's learning in school, and will be discussed with children before being taken home. It is also often referred to in follow up lessons, so it is important that it is returned on time.

The school expects all children to complete their home learning to a good standard, whether it has been completed independently or with support. Whilst we do encourage parental involvement, we understand that not all parents will have the opportunity to help their children on every occasion.

If your child has been unable to complete their home learning due to absence or an out-of-school commitment, please inform their class teacher using either the red home-school communication book, or email.

Home learning tasks are not designed to cause stress and have a negative impact on home family life. The school encourages parents to communicate with their child's teacher if managing home learning is causing a problem at home.
